Colorado might be the most beautiful state in the USA!
This was our first time in Colorado. We travelled for one week in Denver, Colorado and surrounding areas in our RV. We went to some of the most popular tourist attractions, as well as some hidden gems that left us speechless. We think these are a must do in Colorado!
The Royal Gorge Bridge-
Gorgeous gorge in Cañon City, Colorado, where we took a 1200 ft tall gondola, as well as walked on the tallest suspension bridge in the world. Another popular things to do here is taking the Royal Gorge Route Railroad, which we sadly missed.
Garden of the Gods-
This place was Ivana's favorite. The colors truly jump off the screen. There are these huge red rocks sprining up out of the earth, and some snow-capped mountains in the background. It's a magical place in Colorado Springs.
A Colorado Ranch-
This was a fun stay for us, epecially for our young daughter. We met some horses, donkeys, and mules. Actually, we were impressed with Colorado's culture. It's unique. It's progressive, with a cowboy feel to it, and have a historically awesome hockey team. We discuss Colorado's culture at the end of the video.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre-
I wish we saw a concert/show here. The venue is incredible. Huge, slanted rocks line each side of the seats. I bet the acoustics are fantastic, and the stars would be awesome above your head. The short hike to the top is worth it even if you are not seeing a show, because the views are quite nice.
Rocky Mountain National Park-
Unfortunately, we couldn't stay overnight here, because at the time of filming, the Federal Government was shutdown. Aside from that, THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. Another Colorado must-see. The mountains are so beautiful, and feel so close you could touch them.
Great Sand Dunes National Park-
The views from here, don't look like what you might imagine Colorado looks like. It looks like the Sahara desert! That's why we wanted to visit. There's mountains in the background, and sand dunes all across the foreground. You are free to walk in any direction, even climbing up the sand dunes. I'm not sure if this place is a hidden gem technically, but we had not heard of it before we came to Colorado. A good rest & relax spot to end our trip.
