Our First Impressions of London 🇬🇧 (Big Disappointment?!)
After six years of full-time travel, we finally made it to London, England… and wow, our first impressions were not what we expected. From the crowded tourist spots like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and the London Eye, to a sweaty ride on the famous double-decker bus, London honestly felt more like a tourist trap than a world-class city.
But here’s the twist — as soon as we left London and explored Oxford University, the Cotswolds, Bibury, and Broadway village, everything changed. The English countryside completely redeemed the trip. From quiet stone villages that look like something out of Lord of the Rings, to delicious pub food like fish and chips, Guinness short rib pie, and black pudding with Oxford sauce, we finally found the charm of England.
