I made an Amish friend. (Well, formerly Amish.) His story of leaving the Amish church, with his family, is very compelling. We enjoyed speaking with him.
We found Weaver's Farm & Furniture on Harvest Host. We weren't sure what to expect, meaning we were lucky to have found such a place. The store is full of hand-crafted Amish furniture, with more than a few pieces worth marveling over. Not to mention: the BEST pretzels you will ever eat. (Before this, I can't say I really had a favorite pretzel. But. I'm telling you, this may be the best pretzel on earth.)
But for us. the highlight was meeting Raymond. He's lived an extraordinary life, and one that's given him unique perspectives on not just the Amish, but faith, life and goodness. Talking with him was something we won't forget.
