This is the first of many videos, available first to patrons of mine and then to everyone, formed of uncut clips in their entirety of the Keith Appleton Interviews from 2025. In it I cover a variety of subjects, mostly steam engineering and its place in and effect on our society and the relationship we have with our technology, as well as how vapid social constructs such as the rulebooks, codes, licenses, credentials, rank and title are all entirely meaningless in engineering. Also more than a few well-deserved digs at the nonsense and pitfalls of steam and historic/heritage engineering preservation in the United States; not to tear it down but because I want to see and help it do far better than it is doing.
These videos are raw and unapologetic, and I make no excuses or apologies for them. All opinions expressed therein are my own and (as apparent by the state of the world) no one elses.
