Without a texture pack, Skyblock looks pretty ugly. Thankfully, installing a texture pack is pretty easy and only takes about a minute, and there's plenty to choose from that I show in this video. You may want to pause at points of the showcase section to get a proper look at the textures - I do go through them pretty quick and it can be hard to make out what they are.
