Ever wondered why Hypixel Skyblock takes so long to release new islands? Me too. But I have a theory.
This video essay is written from the perspective of a casual player, because that's what I am. I encourage you to approach this video with an open mind, its easy to think "this would never fit in the game as it currently is", but the whole point is that you think "what if the game wasn't like this?" I'm also not a professional game designer, and everything I say here is more or less the result of my observations of playing this game for over 4 years, as well as talking to other players about their concerns. You are totally in your right to disagree (or agree!) with me in the comments, and I actually encourage you to do this because it boosts engagement and creates insightful discussion.
