What if the UFO phenomenon isn’t really about extraterrestrials at all?
In this video, I explore a strange pattern running through more than a century of UFO encounters, religious apparitions and unexplained phenomena — from the Miracle of Fatima in 1917, through the Venusian contactees of the 1950s and the emergence of the iconic Grey alien, to today’s UAP disclosure movement.
Drawing on the work of legendary UFO researcher Jacques Vallée, I examine his provocative theory that the phenomenon may operate as a kind of “control system” for human consciousness — shaping our myths, beliefs and understanding of reality.
But there may be another pattern hidden underneath it.
The changing face of the UFO phenomenon appears to track the 36-year Saturn–Neptune cycle with remarkable consistency. The conjunctions of 1917, 1952–53, 1989 and 2026 each coincided with major changes in the stories humanity was telling about mysterious beings, UFOs and the forces operating beyond ordinary reality.
We explore the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima, George Adamski and the Venusians, Whitley Strieber and the Grays, Bob Lazar, alien abductions, UFO disclosure, the Pentagon and the modern UAP threat narrative.
And when these events are placed alongside the political and technological changes occurring at the same time, a more unsettling possibility emerges: perhaps these phenomena are not simply reflecting human consciousness. Perhaps, in some sense, they are helping to steer it.
