Abu Dhabi-based Orbitworks is preparing its first satellite for launch, a milestone it says is central to building credibility in the UAE’s emerging space manufacturing industry.

Acting CEO and Executive Director Hamdullah Mohib speaks with Dan Murphy about the company’s mission control center in Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi, its planned 10-satellite, AI-enabled Altair Earth observation constellation and the challenge of proving UAE-assembled satellites can operate in orbit.
