In this video I take a hands-on look at the FEIN ASCM 18-4 QM AS, including the 4-speed solid-metal gearbox, QuickIN accessory system, controls, weight, specifications and the jobs this unusual drill driver is designed to handle.
On paper, it is an extremely versatile machine. It can be configured for drilling, screwdriving, tapping, countersinking and other metalworking applications. But that versatility also comes with extra size and cost, and I discuss who I think this tool actually makes sense for — particularly engineers, metalworkers and some electricians versus trades that may prefer a smaller conventional drill driver.
