We're a faith-based sponsorship organization committed to freeing children from the grip of poverty by addressing both their immediate circumstances and future potential, working hand-in-hand with local congregations.
Compassion International operates through three core principles:
* **Rooted in Faith.** Children experiencing poverty deserve to know the hope found in Christ. We share the gospel with every child in age-appropriate ways, going beyond basic humanitarian support to introduce them to Jesus as their lasting source of hope.
* **Powered by Local Churches.** Community congregations understand their neighborhoods best. We exclusively collaborate with local churches, equipping them with the tools and resources to care for, protect and nurture vulnerable children.
* **Tailored to Each Child.** Every child's story is different. Our church partners customize their care to address each child's individual circumstances and needs.
**Our Approach: Empowering Children to Overcome Poverty**
Through our church partnerships, we address children's immediate needs—including proper nutrition, healthcare and emotional support—while also investing in their future through education and skills training.
However, our care extends beyond physical, intellectual and emotional wellbeing. We also nurture children spiritually by sharing the gospel message. While poverty presents countless obstacles, lasting hope comes through a relationship with Jesus—and our mission is to make that hope accessible to every child we serve.
When all dimensions of a child's wellbeing are supported—body, mind, emotions and spirit—they can grow into healthy, resilient, confident individuals equipped to break free from poverty's cycle.
