It’s been about a billion years since my last video (well, five months), so here’s a look at the Donald Trump era of American politics, in context of the presidents who came before and how my view of the presidency changed over time.
The main thrust of this video is just how the Trump era of politics was so boring, because it was so untethered from anything even resembling reality. It wasn’t just lying, it was fantastical lying that blurred into delusion, sprinkled heavily with white supremacy and pure hatred and resentment. I’m glad he’s gone...for now!
I am still hopelessly naive and believing that somehow the Biden era will bring about some more substance in politics, but I have been burned many times before. Curse this noble heart of mine.
I will add chapters to this video tomorrow but need to release it now in order to fulfil my idea of making at least one video a month (it’s February in about ten minutes!).
