Turns out I was wrong about the status of the Santa Monica airport! I head back down there (from Van Nuys) to check out the Douglas Day event and see how the local community is involved in the airport. Plenty of aircraft on display. Vintage aircraft like a Piper Cub, T6, and Citabria, plus lot of the new electric aircraft like Pipistrel, and EVTOL Joby and Pivotal. Lets fire up the Aeronca Chief and take a look at this great city airport.
