The tiny town of Trentham, just an hour outside of Melbourne, not only sits high atop the stunning landscape of the Great Dividing Range but is the home to Sam 'Lord' Bloomfield, an artist who specialises in medieval inspired sculptures.
The region not only punches well above its weight in terms of food and drink, but has a strong creative arts scene, with Trentham's unique surrounds not only inspiring Lord Bloomfield and his medieval art, but a whole host of creative locals.
Just 20 minutes north of Trentham is Kyneton, home of Victoria's Lost Trades Fair, an artisan lead event providing a platform for career artisans and traditional tradespeople to share their skills and knowledge of their trade and craft. The annual event attracts thousands of curious travelers and a craftspeople to the region where you'll find any number of makers from blacksmiths, bookmakers, armourers and leather workers to toy makers, wood turners, marionette makers and book binders.
