The Temple of Elemental Evil is an Adventure Module written by Gary Gygax and released in 1985. It is the follow-up module to the highly successful Village of Hommlet (1979.) In 2003 both modules were adapted into an CRPG created by the legendary but ill-fated Troika Games. The modules were updated to run in the D&D 3.5 edition rules (familiar to anyone who played Neverwinter Nights 2) I never heard about this game growing up and only bough it in a collection of D&D video games about a decade or so ago. I enjoyed my time with it but felt that the rigid adherence to the 3.5 rules made the combat a bit frustrating. The “big bad” of the story is also a bit on the underwhelming side. Let me know what you think of the game, if you've played it before or if you played the original Greyhawk modules!
