It is said that by the time your children are 12, 75% of the time you'll spend with them is over. Part of me hates this quote, part of me thinks, well then, I don't feel bad/worried/concerned at all about doing life differently. I think humans are meant to reserve a portion of life just for "doing nothing" accomplishing nothing, just being a kid in this beautiful, curious world. Here are some practical ways we slow down our life with kids: 👇🏾

-a weekly home day
-daily meals around the table
-opting out of individual sports for young children and instead opting for sports like surfing, skiing, hiking, skate park, golfing, anything you can just have fun doing together.
-unschooling, keeping our children home with us.
-not having a tv or tablets for the kids
-going for daily walks
-filtering out adult content / conversation
-not taking everything so seriously
-getting out of debt
-keeping our home inventory of stuff to manage low
