The world's biggest predators get a spotlight in this Paleo Rewind! The monstrous snake Vasuki indicus, a 30-50 foot constricting predator from Eocene India, would have likely eaten crocodiles and early whales. Ichthyotitan severnensis was an ichthyosaur giant from the Late Triassic and rivaled many modern whales in size. Its jaws were as strong as carbon fiber and would have made fearsome weapons. Additionally, Bergmann's Rule gets debunked, a sauropod was named after the war of gods and titans, and dinosaurian intelligence is questioned. April 2024 was an incredible month for paleontology!
