Europe has Torvosaurus. Australia has…not much, admittedly, but Australovenator is still the size of a bear. For a long time, we regarded Tarbosaurus bataar as the Asian champion on the global theropod stage, but new discoveries have promised to shake up the megatheropod hierarchy like never before. Not only is Zhuchengtyrannus magnus the most massive land predator in the history of Asia, it’s in the running to be one of the biggest theropod dinosaurs of all time.
