The owner of the studio where Green Day recorded their lost album said it was never stolen from there.
The mystery around Green Day’s lost album gets even stranger.
The band said the master tapes for Cigarettes and Valentines were stolen. But the owner of Studio 880—the Oakland studio connected to the sessions—pushed back on that story.
He said there were security measures, safes, multiple steel doors—and that Green Day took their drives with them.
