The Spies were a short-lived Houston band formed in 1981 that played mostly original power pop tunes along with a few covers of songs from the Who, Stones, and Kinks. In July of 1982 they released a single with their songs "Bad Girl" and "My Radio" in an extremely limited pressing. Both songs are an amazing testament to their gifted song writing and tight musicianship. A documentary film about the band was in the works but never materialized. Unfortunately as clubs in Houston started closing down, the band found themselves unable to play shows and eventually called it quits before drifting deep into obscurity.
This here is EXTREMELY rare live footage of them playing their "hit," Bad Girl.
