The Next formed in Austin in 1978 shortly after the Sex Pistols legendary performance at Randy's Rodeo. They were one of the first bands to play the new punk rock club, Raul's. Their debut EP, Make It Quick, is a tremendous offering with three killer tunes. Numerous line-up changes and one more EP followed before the band called it quits in 1981.
