Can a quota actually save species?
Yes.
How?
✅ By adding value to an animal beyond photo-tourism and ecotourism you are giving locals a reason to want those species to be on their land.
✅ You can reduce the population by placing a value on those animals where the money generated benefits the local communities housing those animals.
Currently the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment and the Minister Dion George are not issuing any quota for Elephant, Leopard, or Black Rhino. The question we have to ask is why?
