When you are writing, what kind of music do you listen to? Relaxing ambiance just to get the creative juices flowing? Heavy metal for fight scenes? Songs that perfectly describe your characters? But what if there was a song out there that perfectly describes YOU, the author? What if it describes to a catchy beat exactly what you are going through with writer's block and the creative process as a whole?
Well, friends. There is a song out there that perfectly encapsulates the most common traps writers can work themselves into: writer's block, the constant pressure of perfection, and the persistent crawl of time.
That song is Pet Cheetah by Twenty One Pilots, and I'm soooo personally attached to this song.
So in this video I'm going to break down the lyrics and how they apply to writers, and just how important this song was to me at a certain part in my writing journey.
