There are two type of distractions: obvious ones—let's say you decided to work on your project, but instead you are choosing to sit down and start watching YouTube videos, playing video games or reading comic books. Well that's clearly a distraction.

The second one—not obvious distractions—if you're checking email when you said you would work on that big project, that is also a distraction, but you don't realize, because it feels like work and that's more sinister.

In this episode I am joined by Nir Eyal, which is an Israeli-born American author, lecturer and investor known for his bestselling book, Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products and now author Indistractable: How to Control Your Attention and Choose Your Life, which was released a couple of months ago and can be acquired online and in-stores.
