After reviewing the lunar eclipse last week, we now turn our attention to the solar eclipse. We look at the causes and types of solar eclipses, the cause of the West to East path of totality and the spectacular visuals of the solar eclipse.
Once again, the 'eclipse seasons' means there are two times a year eclipses can occur, in recent years this has been Summer and Winter, but like the orbit of the moon (and because of it) the seasons precess.
