The Smile ecosystem for robotic healthcare assistance involves different robotic systems such as the humanoid robot Justin and the wheelchair robot EDAN.
The robots can work autonomously but also be controlled by humans from remote or locally for example via a tablet interface.
To supervise the robots and extend their capabilities, a control center was developed from which a communication to the SMiLE robots can be established.
From this centralized control center, a tele-healthcare assistant can precisely control the robots distributed over Bavaria with the haptic interaction device HUG.
Das SMiLE Ökosystem für robotische Pflegeassistenz besteht aus verschiedenartigen robotischen Systemen wie dem humanoiden Roboter Justin und dem Rollstuhlroboter EDAN.
Die Roboter können autonom arbeiten, oder durch einen Menschen lokal oder aus der Distanz zum Beispiel mit einem Tablet-Interface gesteuert werden.
Um die Roboter zu überwachen und ihre Fähigkeiten zu erweitern, wurde ein Kontrollzentrum entwickelt von dem aus eine Kommunikation zu den SMiLE Robotern aufgebaut werden kann.
Über dieses zentrale Kontrollzentrum kann ein Tele-Pflegeassistent die über ganz Bayern verteilten Roboter präzise über das haptische Interaktionsgerät HUG gesteuert werden.
