Footage of an early pre-release build of The Sims Online, most likely the one exhibited there @ E3 2001.
Ah! We would probably sacrifice over 100 and a half llamas if we could recall this video's original source. Does anyone have a clue?
Some major distinctions from the final, December 2002's build include a Sims-1-based personalities system (when, in actuality, the retail version came out with the premise of perceiving the player's character as an extension of themselves, making the said system obsolete in the developers' opinion, you could say)...
...and that straightforward and, why not, unsubstantial way of setting your fellow computer person as your everlasting Friend or Enemy, determining irreversibly the type of relationship and interactions you would be able to have with them. Whether or not it's better off to have this feature changed, it's up to you, my friend!
