It seems nobody outside of Mexico has ever heard of my home state of Hidalgo! After a year and a half away, I'm visiting my family and my hometown and I want to share a little bit of this undiscovered part of Mexico with you.

I was born in the town of Tula, Hidalgo; a state in central Mexico with a lot of history and a strong culture, but which nobody outside of Mexico seems to have heard about! Whenever foreigners ask me where I'm from, they seem confused when I say I'm from Hidalgo.

Let me show you where I'm from and introduce you to some of the things that Hidalgo has to offer. From the ancient city of Tula and it's Toltec ruins to delicious barbacoa.
