A simple walk to Dunstanburgh Castle turned into one of the best days I’ve had on the A1 in my motorhome so far!

Craster hit differently. The weather, the empty coastline, the waves smashing in, and that long walk out to the castle just felt spot on.

Yesterday the pub shut the kitchen on me, so I ended up finding a little parkup close by in the freezing cold eating & having eggs on toast for dinner!

I came back the next day for round two and finally to eat in the Jolly Fisherman & got their famous crab sandwich while staring out at the sea, awesome!

I wandered through the smokehouse, grabbed some kippers for breakfast, watched the waves tearing in, and had the whole car park and coastline basically to myself. Proper peaceful.
