On the corner of All Saints Church in Rudston, East Yorkshire is the Rudston Monolith. This stone is 26 feet above ground (with more below ground) and is the tallest known standing stone in the UK. It was likely transported by river and manpower and placed here, suggested around 3000+ years ago. Likely the site of Pagan worship, the church would have then been built here to make it a site of Christianity.
