Reducing reliance on virgin fossil carbon as a source of feedstocks would make a massive difference in realising the goal of producing sustainable PLFs.

More than 300 stakeholders have contributed to an Innovate UK study that looks at how sustainable carbon could be key to transitioning to a more environmentally sound future. ‘UKCHEM 2050: Sustainable Carbon for the UK Chemicals Industry’ has helped to identify challenges and opportunities, while its findings offer a look into the multiple versions of the future with different technological approaches under the spotlight.
