In this video, I show how the process of temperature inversion works in the reconstruction pipeline used to generate the Cosmic Microwaves Background radiation map. Robitaille and Crothers often claim that the appearance of negative temperatures in the reconstruction pipeline is a violation of the third law of thermodynamics and that because of this, the maps are meaningless. However, all of the temperatures generated in the pipeline are relative temperatures and NOT absolute temperatures and the maps that are generated from the various steps in the pipeline do NOT violate the any laws of thermodynamics contrary to their claims.
