The Riverside & Great Northern is a 15-inch gauge miniature railroad in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Now open to the public, this was originally the Sandley Light Railway Equipment Works, which designed and built the locomotives, rolling stock, and other equipment required to operate a miniature railroad. Sandley’s customers were mainly zoos and amusement parks, and the railroad was used as a demonstration for potential customers. An all-volunteer, not-for-profit preservation society today operates the trains and maintains the historic structures.
Here is a scene from our video story about the R&GN, available on the DVD “Wisconsin Steam Stories” - yardgoatimages.com/Wisconsin-Steam-Stories-p2005212
