Anyone who has been in deliverance ministry paired with deep inner healing ministry has probably encountered a persons soul alter, soul fracture, or soul fragment, collectively known as “parts,” at some point during sessions. These “parts” are human personalities carrying deep emotional pain that are clearly not demonic or the persons normal personality (the core). Many times, these personalities are younger in age and are expressing extreme pain, anxiety, fear, or anguish. The words alter, fractures, and fragments (parts) are actually psychology terms that ministers have appropriated to help better explain this type of ministry. They are part of a persons soul, created to protect the individual from the pains and turmoil experienced by an individual during an extreme trauma. Isaiah 61:1 NASB (Luke 4:17-18) The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners Brokenhearted: Hebrew word Šābur and Shâbar. - Šābur means an injury by fracture. - Shâbar means break into pieces or shattered.
