The Rhythmic Eight play "You Don't Like It - Not Much", featuring excellent solos by Joe Brannelly on four string tenor guitar (tuned like a tenor banjo), Perley Breed on alto sax and Arthur Lally on clarinet. This side also features a really good hot arranged half-chorus that highlights the trumpets.
The singing trio is led by drummer Eddie Kollis, who sounds like he is adjusting his kit just before the band kicks off (I have slightly emphasised these three thuds). The other two singers are unidentified members of the band.
The 78 source for this transfer is not the usual Zonophone but a rather unusual HMV "A.L." issue, which was made at the Gramophone Company's Hayes factory for export to Scandinavian countries. Notice the misspelling of the band's name!
