On this channel it’s kind of on topic to be sidetracked. But this is sidetracking that actually brings something new on the table in my C64 Resurrection videos. Even though I prefer to do the fault finding the right way around and not just take every chip and test it, I sometimes need to put in a new chip from the parts bin, and then the question is.. Is this a good one ? And in some cases when you have no schematics and you don’t know the circuits, there really is no way around just testing chips. The same when buying chips on line. So here we are, making our own Retro Chip Tester Pro, with just a little help from The 8 bit museum, that has soldered in the microcontroller and done the pre- programming of the boot loader and firmware. In this second part we put in the last chip, and test the device, there is no way around a little fault finding, but we get to test some chips in the end. #RetroChipTester #KOJRO #Retro
