In this second episode of Neon Galactic’s The Rethink, we again convene a panel of experts from across the various fields that have interest in and around the field of anomalous studies and ufology.
This will ultimately be a series of conversations, held with prominent representatives of the various stakeholder groups surrounding the UAP phenomenon, including – but not limited to – humanists, scientists, experiencers, political activists, and journalists/podcasters.
Our primary goal is to foster a joint sense of mission and facilitate conversations between interested parties that are often locked in their own institutional silos and lack cohesion.
Guests in this second installment include philosophy Professor Michael Zimmerman from University of Colorado at Boulder; Science Bob McGwier, a scientist and inventor who has a long history as a contractor with the U.S.. government; Matthew Roberts, author and experiencer who has worked as a U.S. navy cryptographer; and Kelly Chase, experiencer, podcaster, and producer with the UFO Rabbit Hole Podcast and Ontocalypse Productions.
The panel will be hosted by KEET’s James Faulk and Dr. Chris Avis from Camosun College in British Columbia.
Our questions this time:
How does Lue Elizondo’s new book, Imminent, impact the overall conversation?
We are saying that there is a “there, there” on the UAP topic, meaning the much-belabored cover-up conspiracy theory could very well be true. How do we navigate that reality without tacitly endorsing all conspiracy theories?
What world view(s) (e.g. idealism vs. materialism, dualism vs. non-dualism) do you embrace in understanding the universe? What evidence (even anecdotal) has shaped those views, and has your interest in UAPs helped shape that opinion?
Do you see any evidence of a paradigm shift occurring in the sciences that might lead us to revisit materialism? What evidence would you bring forward in support of such a shift?
What does 'consciousness' mean to you? Is consciousness even a real thing or simply a construct of a sufficiently advanced brain? Do we have 'individual' consciousnesses or are we simply a fragment of something larger?
How does consciousness shape reality and what is the link between consciousness and the broader phenomenon (UAPs, other high strangeness, NDEs, etc.)?
How can we revisit our relationship with technology to better serve us and evolve as a species? How can we find balance between the evolution of tech and the evolution our own minds/ spirit?
How does U.S. presidential politics impact this effort?
In your opinion, why is this topic disregarded in the mainstream media? How can the ufo community help draw more attention to the discussion?
If the mainstream media is unreliable on this topic, how do we find alternative media that is reliable on this and other topics?
