Are the materials of life randomly chosen by blind processes, or there is an underlying wisdom behind a carefully selected set?!
There are 20 amino acids that correspond to the Genetic protein-coding codons. But, it turns our that there are some 500+ amino acids in nature! And it also turns out that the same 20 amino acids are the ones that are used universally in all living creatures on the planet.
So, a question lends itself: Are those 20 amino acids out of the 500 special by any means, or any set of 20 amino acids would have done the job?
Amazingly, research in this field is providing answers to those questions, which opens a more important question:
If this specific set is a special set, and an optimized set, then who is doing the picking, and who is making the rules of engagement of life come to materialize in such an optimized form?!

Seeing God in Biology is a series of premiers and live Q&A's where Dr. Fuz Rana (a career bioChemist, and author of many books) discussed with me Ahmed Eshrah (Electronics and Communications Engineer, with an executive Information Systems career) the stunning design in living things manifesting itself at the molecular level, and how that is similar (yet way advanced) to designs in electronics and communication systems, lending itself to an obvious design case and day-by-day unveiling more about the wisdom of our creator, God almighty. We also ponder on how religion (Bible and Quran) and science, are consistent to unequivocally point to the all-wise creator.
The series addresses topics at the very frontier of scientific discovery, so it is even fun just to pick up the knowledge, and then ponder their implications.
Seeing God in Biology, is a weekly series airing Thursdays at 5pm GMT / 9am PST, followed by a live after-show at the top of the hour (or a little bit later if the primary show takes more than an hour). This is season 1, started 3rd of Feb 2022.

About Dr. Fazale Rana:
Fuz earned a BS in chemistry with highest honors (West Virginia State College) and a PhD in chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry (Ohio University). He pursued postdoctoral studies on cell membranes at the Universities of Virginia and Georgia and worked as a senior scientist in research and development at Procter & Gamble. Fuz has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, such as Biochemistry, Applied Spectroscopy, FEBS Letters, Journal of Microbiological Methods, and Journal of Chemical Education. He also holds two patents, authored a chapter on molecular convergence and intelligent design for The Nature of Nature, and cowrote a chapter on antimicrobial peptides for Biological and Synthetic Membranes. In addition, he has delivered numerous presentations at international scientific meetings.
Though Fuz initially ascribed to the evolutionary paradigm, he converted to Christianity after his graduate studies convinced him that creation best explains the elegance of biochemical systems. Today, Fuz writes and speaks extensively about evidence for creation emerging from biochemistry, genetics, human origins, and synthetic biology. He is the author of several books—including Humans 2.0, Thinking about Evolution, and Fit for a Purpose, among others—and countless articles. He has addressed audiences at over 500 universities, churches, and conferences around the world and delivered numerous presentations at international scientific meetings. Fuz has also made numerous media appearances on television, radio, and in print.
