Hurricane Helene has made landfall, and Team Rubicon is mobilizing to meet the immense needs left in its wake. Vice President of Operations Jeff Byard shares how we’re responding to this major storm as it continues to impact multiple states.
“Hurricane Helene is a powerful hurricane that’s already caused significant damage on the Florida coast and continues to impact multiple states," says Jeff.
The real work begins now. We have teams in Bay County, Florida, moving into the hardest-hit areas. Our specialized, veteran-led Greyshirts are assisting with opening roads and providing support where it’s needed most.
We’re identifying areas of need, especially in historically underserved communities, and deploying logistics to launch a full operation. Our goal is to have more Greyshirts on the ground as early as Sunday, actively helping disaster survivors.
