As Hurricane Helene continues to impact communities across the South, Team Rubicon is expanding our response efforts to meet the overwhelming needs left in its wake. Vice President of Operations Jeff Byard shares how we’re deploying our veteran-led teams across multiple states to assist those affected by this devastating storm.
“We’ve got people being impacted as we speak,” says Jeff. “What we’re seeing with Helene right now in the South is a lot of debris work in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. You go north of that, and it’s a tremendous amount of flooding. The storm just stalled over the Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky—it created a tremendous amount of need and it’s outpaced the resources.”
Team Rubicon has boots on the ground in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and we’re pushing teams into South Carolina. One of the strengths of our organization is our network of Greyshirts across the country who can bring their services to bear to better the lives of disaster survivors.
