The Real Poverty - Confused Souls, Not Empty Pockets.
🎙️ "The agonies of poverty," he says,
"...are nothing but the representations of confused souls when they abandon one another."
🧠 It's not just a lack of wealth.
It's a lack of rahma.
A lack of connection.
A lack of fulfilling the rights of each other.
💸 2.5% — that’s all it takes.
If the world's wealthy just gave zakat properly, there would be no poverty.
It’s been done. In the rule of Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, there was no one left to give zakat to.
⚠️ And now? We're in fitnat al-sarrāʼ — the Prophet ﷺ called it:
“A trial of prosperity... whose smoke will come from beneath your feet.”
(Easy wealth. Easy indulgence. Easy to forget.)
🛑 This is not just about the poor.
This is about the purpose.
The ummah breaks when hearts are disconnected — not just when wallets are empty.
