This is a short film I made for my college Filmmaking class. It was shot on film using a Bolex camera, with all the sounds being recorded and synced in post-production. The film follows a group of friends, played by Kyle Carozzi, Jordan Winfield and Jacob Huber, as they partake in a session of the quiet game. Antics ensue between them and the game doesn't go quite as planned.
The purpose of the project was to make a film about three characters entering and leaving a shot, so there was a lot of room for creativity with this. Unfortunately, the film was bogged down with some production problems. We had to reshoot the film because the original version came out very dark and underexposed, as our light meter (which detects the amount of light in a scene) wasn't working properly. This was also one of our first times shooting with a Bolex camera, which wasn't always easy. Some of the film's shots still came out a bit underexposed or out-of-focus, but all in all we're happy with the final product. And we hope you enjoy as well!
