QuestCraft 6.0 is HERE – They fixed everything!
A huge new update for QuestCraft is finally here, jumping from version 5.0 to 6.0 and bringing a long list of improvements, new features, and quality-of-life upgrades. You can now play up to Minecraft 1.21.4 on standalone VR with better performance, a smaller file size (now just ~50MB!), and support for Pico Neo 3, 4, and 4U headsets.
The launcher now includes a demo mode for players without a Java account, multi-account support, a log viewer, and an asset checker + updater to make troubleshooting easier. There's also RAM-based memory settings, especially helpful for Pico users, along with a download progress bar, JDK auto-updater, legal info, and social buttons added to the GitHub update menu.
Under the hood, Vivecraft has been switched to OpenXR, renderers are now LTW, and the whole thing runs on Unity 2022. The modding experience is vastly improved with a completely rebuilt auto-install list, better preinstalled configs, and more mod support overall. Crashes and v71+ issues have been fixed, storage permissions were removed, and there's even auto-repair for seated mode users.
