Join us at Twelve 5 Church for week two of our Christmas series, Shadows of Christmas. This Sunday we turn to Genesis 22 and the promised son. Long before the angels sang, long before shepherds ran to a manger, God was already preaching the gospel through a father, a son, and a mountain.
In this passage, we watch Abraham walk in faith and we feel the weight of the question: will God truly provide? And as the story unfolds, the shadow grows clearer. A beloved son carries the wood. A substitute is provided. And we are reminded that Christmas is not a sentimental moment, it is God keeping His covenant promises through sacrifice and grace.
