After a five-year wait, The Pretty Reckless return with Dear God, but was it worth the wait?
In this review, I break down the band's fifth studio album track by track, discussing Taylor Momsen's outstanding vocal performance, Ben Phillips' impressive guitar work, the album's emotional themes, and the unique "Life Evermore" trilogy that gives the record its narrative structure.
From hard rock and blues to grunge, folk, and even country influences, Dear God shows a band willing to experiment without losing their identity. While I do have one small criticism regarding the album's pacing, I believe this is one of the strongest rock albums released in 2026.
