So while I was watching the commercials for this year’s Super Bowl, the new trailer for Disclosure Day was playing, and when they showed the train I was like “Hold up, was that the Polar Express’ Whistle?!” So I thought I’d put together a short video with my iPhone to see what you guys think of this. I mean besides there was another Spielberg movie which coincidentally used the same whistle but on a Lionel train.
Edit 1: I was referring to the movie The Fabelman, thanks to Sierra Railway Videos for remindibg me btw.
Edit 2: This video was originally going to be uploaded only for one day, but I decided to leave it the way it is instead. The title has been changed of course, and so has the description.
Edit 3: I don’t know why I used “lemme” instead of “let me” at the end if the video, but I’ll just leave that in since it basically means the same thing anyway.

This time we see three of Springfield’s most reliable residents (Chief Clancy Wiggum, Dr Julius Hibbert, and Apu Nahasapeemapetilon) meet up with Charles Montgomery Burns (aka Mr Burns) and Mr Waylon Smithers, his assistant to discuss what and why Springfield needs to borrow power from Mr Burns for emergency reasons. Yes, this is the first time I have featured Apu in this series. You’re welcome.

Btw I was too lazy to make my own power outage sequence, so I reused it from the movie itself. Also I couldn’t exactly make my own version of Mr Burns’ mansion so I was lazy to make that one too. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Before anyone asks, no you cannot have the Cab Forward model shown in this video since it is private at the moment. Also if you ask How did you turn off its headlight? Well I couldnt. Thats the reason why I removed the headlight effect on the cloned model, while I left the effect on the original model untouched. That is, with the acception of swapping it with a different asset but thats another topic on its own.

You may have heard of the many derailments in Cajon Pass, mainly from the years 1989, 1994 and 1996. Even the most recent one in 2023. Not to mention one of the most rare derailments in 1978. Or was it 1975? However, this one in particular, has a spooky twist, which occurred after a horrific train derailment back in 1937.
October 7th, 1937:
It was a very stormy night at the Mojave Yard, and SP X5032 with a freight train was ready to depart after a Lark train passes by on the furthest track. This train was bound for West Colton. Since the departure, it was going smoothly, until the train started descending towards the pass, then the inevitable happened. The only survivors of this wreck were the brakeman and the conductor who were in the caboose, far away from the lead engine sparing their lives from the inevitable.
After the crash, all the passenger trains (not shown in the video) have been rerouted while the tracks were being rebuilt. Freight trains would also be rerouted sharing trackage rights on the ATSF (now BNSF) right of way. Many train crews that go through the area still heard that mournful whistle from the derailment site.
October 12th, 1953
The ghost of the old 5032 was said to be lurking on the tracks where she ran on, but this train did not have such an encounter, which was one of a few trains which still made it through Cajon Pass, even past the old derailment site.
October 31st, 1975
It’s Halloween, and it was still raining cats and dogs that night. The ghost train was out on a prowl for her next victim, and this train 8534 East, was about to meet her worst fate yet. The whistle can be heard in the pass once again, and the engineer, knowing he might go insane, tried to respond back to the ghost by blowing his horn. Further on the descent, at the moment the engineer applied the brakes, then came the worst nightmare ever. Instead of slowing down, the train kept speeding up, further down the grade. It was going way too fast for the crew members to bail out, so both he and the brakeman at the head end would have to ride it out. It was no use. Then came every engineer’s worst nightmare. Unfortunately there were no survivors of this crash, not even the conductor at the caboose, about 25 cars behind the locomotives did not survive either. Another train taken by the old ghost.
Let this be a lesson to anyone, not just railroad employees, but to anyone who is in the area, railfans too, that Cajon Pass is notorious for the many train related accidents that could happen at any given time. But for every October, you’d best prepare yourselves for the inevitable. Who knows? Anyway, any time you’re near the derailment site along the former SP right of way, watch out. You will be next.

Okay, so here’s one of the remakes I kinda regret posting, because the audio I used is from one of the new episodes. Here we see Moe and Carl on a hiking trip, and then Bart calls Moe, except this wasn’t the prank! And then Moe loses it anyway like he does when he usually gets pranked on by the same kid! Anyway, despite all the hate the show now gets, I have managed to find at least one *GOOD* piece, which hopefully does not get me any hate comments. Otherwise, I will take action. Don’t ask me what they are, or why.
As for my nutshell videos, no I am not finished with these videos yet. If anyone freaks out over a lack of nutshells, stop it. Watch something else (as long as it’s not Skibidi Toilet) and try to keep yourselves sane during the post-pandemic era. I am just as bored as you guys right now.

Next Simpsons remake will take place during the CLASSIC Simpsons era, which actually WILL be good. I haven’t decided what itll be about, but it will be a surprise.

Now before anyone asks, this video isn’t 100% accurate with the translation, and if anyone asks why there isn’t enough rolling stock or scenery in the background of some shots, I’d blame the switching crew responsible for arranging the consists between shots. Either that or it’s perfectly fine, it’s just that it was filmed further away from where all the consists were. Oh well.
Anyway, this is the first ever parody/remake of Gintama I have ever made! I know that I should’ve used Japanese locomotives and rolling stock which would’ve been more appropriate for me since the audio is already Japanese, but what the heck, anyone can learn Japanese, even us Schewpid Americans! lol.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own the original audio clip, nor do I condone the act of pickpocketing. A crime such as this must be tolerated by any means necessary.
As for the 2479, I was going to give her a voice, particularly one from MLP, but I decided not to but instead I dubbed her whistle in that clip. Same goes with the SD45, except I forgot to add the bell sound for good ol’ Gintoki. Oh well, it still works even without the bell.
If anyone doesn’t know, at 0:19, I included a sound bite of Joseph Joestar (who shares the same voice as Gintoki) from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: All Star Battle R, which is basically the element of surprise in this video. The surprise that is, being bumped by a little kid. Talk about tough luck, even in a busy rail yard. You live and learn, what can I say?
