The final week of standard Severn Valley Railway services always coincides with half term and being at the end of October the Autumnal colours along the Severn Valley are close to their most vivid, that's if the strong winds haven't blown them all away. The weather for the final week of October was grey, mild and windy, with a few brief sunnier periods. The final week should of seen the Great Western Manor in action but unfortunately it was declared a failure so it only done the one full day, though arguably it provided the best scene of the week, or maybe it was the Pannier with a standing start away from Country Park Halt as it powered up Highley Bank with the backdrop of colourful trees. B.R Standard 4 '75069' stepped in to cover the Manor.
