Damnation difficulty Darktide gameplay on Refinery Delta 17, Freight Port HL-32-2 "The Hourglass”, using the M35 Magnacore MK II Plasma Gun. I have a love / hate relationship with this weapon. It feels so satisfying to shoot (Especially when popping those headshots), yet equally pathetic to shoot.
Unless you have 100% headshot consistency with this gun, it is extremely underpowered. This coupled with the fact you have to battle with one of the worst reticules I've ever used, makes it very hard to use unless you're popping off. Then there's the cooldown mechanic... Why do I have to damage my HP, a finite resource in Damnation runs, to cool the weapon down? This is a useless mechanic, like using charge shots it is cool to use once for the novelty, then you never do it again.
I really want to love this weapon but it has to go through way to much downtime for the amount of damage it provides to make it a good weapon to use. In my opinion, the Devs need to simply make it either easier to cool down, or give it more damage.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
LOADOUT:
Antax MK V Combat Axe
M35 Magnacore MK II Plasma Gun
Feats: 2-2-1-1-3-3
