Shock Troop Gauntlet, Damnation gameplay on using the Lorenz Mk VI Rumbler and Brute-Brainer MK III Latrine Shovel.
Today marks the beginning of my weapon showcases with the Ogryn, starting with the Lorenz Mk VI Rumbler.
This weapon is bad in my opinion, although it is still very fun to use. For the ammo capacity, reload speed and what the weapon literally is (A Mortar), it delivers extremely unsatisfying damage. It can't even kill a gunner with a headshot hit AND the explosion.
This thing is literally a hand held Mortar, the shell itself is bigger than a human head so really, it should be taking the heads off of human sized enemies. The explosion barely tickles enemies as well, it just pushes them backwards a little bit. It only just beats the Veteran's frag grenade in damage, even matching the damage in some cases.
Now don't get me wrong, this weapon is still extremely fun to use despite the frustration of its ability. The feedback you get from the sound design and the exhilarating feeling you get from firing a mortar into the enemy lines feels great. But it is still just undermined by how underpowered the weapon is, in my opinion.
If you know any ways to make it feel strong, do let me know. But I would like to see the explosion mechanic of the weapon, do some real damage.
Throw your suggestions in the comments down below.
LOADOUT:
Lorenz Mk VI Rumbler
Brute-Brainer MK III Latrine Shovel
Feats: 3-1-1-1-1-2
