B-side of "Orphan Boy". An adorable girl group version of the standard written by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin. Did not chart nationally in Billboard, but released as a single in August 1964. The Pixies Three are best-known for their chart records, "Birthday Party", "Cold, Cold Winter", "442 Glenwood Avenue" and "Gee".
"Love Walked In" was originally a hit in 1938 when it charted for the following artists: Jan Garber and His Orchestra (charting at #7), Jimmy Dorsey and His Orchestra (also #7), Sammy Kaye (chart number unknown), Kenny Baker (#14) and Louis Armstrong (#19). Later, it charted at #8 Billboard Pop for the Hilltoppers in 1953, #88 Hot 100 for the Flamingos in October 1959 and #30 for Dinah Washington in October 1960 (#16 R&B). Also recorded by James Melton and many others.
