'Room 2' is taken from an album called 'Underneath The Surface' on Owlripper; described as 'a deep exploration of the inner self', with the album concept of an individual entering several rooms, while contemplating the impact of each experience. That should now explain the choice of the absolutely unreal surreal film 'Shinboru (Symbol)' from 2009; written, directed and starring Hitoshi Matsumoto. I am a big fan of The Phlod-Nar, after being introduced to his sounds through submissions to Owlripper compilations, and then deep diving into his Bandcamp releases. There is a wealth of incredibly interesting, challenging, clever, inventive, strange and surreal sound to be found.
